The iQOO Ultra series will take a strategic step back: The next-generation iQOO Ultra may not be unveiled

According to DCS, which is an IT industry insider source, iQOO is “highly likely” to take a strategic step back and stop working on developing the next-generation iQOO Ultra series smartphones.

Innovative Product Strategy

One theory suggested that the company might do so being concerned about the growing price of storage in the market. However, according to the source, previously, the company had already stated in its official statement that the iQOO Ultra series of phones was not going to have a predetermined updating schedule and only would have iterations in case of significant technological breakthroughs.

Market Dynamics and Other Product Lines

DCS commented on rumors about REDMI K100 Pro Max and clarified that this smartphone will still be launched soon as there are no talks about any cancelations or delays. The current attention is drawn to the iQOO 15 line due to the recent changes in pricing:

– iQOO 15: After the second round of price increase, changes were seen between 400 and 1000 yuan, but the price increased by 100-700 yuan.
– iQOO 15 Ultra: In the second round of price increase, this smartphone got 500-yuan addition.

In March 2026, vivo and iQOO officially announced that due to the persistent growth in the price of semiconductors and storage globally, they will adjust the suggested retail prices of some of their products starting March 18, 2026, at 10:00 AM.
